Washington 6, NY Giants 3: The Senators ripped Rosy Ryan for four runs in the top of the ninth to overtake the Giants. Sam Rice singled in two runs in that inning, and Bucky Harris and Goose Goslin each drove in runs as well. Tom Zachary allowed two earned runs in eight innings for the win.

Baltimore 7, Brooklyn 1 Andy Cooper (six innings) and Bullet Rogan (three innings) combined for a nine-hitter and the Elites got RBIs from six different hitters. Cristobal Torriente and Oscar Charleston each went 3-for-5 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Brooklyn 4, Washington 2 (10 innings):Tommy Griffith tripled in two runs in the eighth inning to tie the game and doubled in the go-ahead run in the 10th. Dutch Ruether scattered nine hits in nine innings for his second win, and Dutch Henry and Art Decatur split the 10th inning.

NY Giants 12, NY Yankees 1:  The Giants batted around in both the fifth and eighth innings and Virgil Barnes spun a two-hitter to rout the Yankees. Billy Southworth went 4-for-5 with a homer for the Giants, and he and Hank Gowdy each drove in three runs. George Kelly scored three times.

Baltimore 3, NY Yankees 1: John Beckwith hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Dave Brown and three relievers made it stand up. Brown allowed four hits in six innings for the win, and Tom Williams, Nip Winters and Bill Holland combined for three innings of two-hit ball.
