Tony Taylor went 3-for-5 with an RBI, a run scored and a pair of steals. Grant Jackson went seven innings for the win, with Bill Wilson getting the final two outs for the save. Cleveland starter and loser Luis Tiant homered, but he also gave up five earned runs on 10 hits in eight innings.
