The Dodgers long-balled their way through this series.

The Mariners, however, won Game One in Dodger Stadium. Ichiro Suzuki broke it open with a three-run homer in the top of the ninth, and Ken Griffey Sr. hit a two-run homer in the third off Clayton Kershaw. Joc Pederson homered twice for all three Dodgers runs.

Max Muncy hit three homers in Game Two, and Enrique Hernandez added a solo shot. Muncy and Hernandez went back-to-back in the fourth inning. Jose Urias got the win with four hitless innings of relief.

The series moved to Safeco Field for Game Three, where it was Justin Turner's turn to hit multiple homers. Going back to the first round, the Dodgers had six straight games with a hitter bashing two or more homers -- Corey Seager, Austin Barnes and Muncy in the final three games against the 1973 Padres, and Pederson, Muncy and Turner in the first three games of this series. Pederson hit another homer in this game, and Walker Buehler allowed one run in six-plus innings for the win.

Erik Bedard and his relievers kept the Dodgers in the yard in Game Four, and Seattle evened the series with an 11-inning win. Jose Lopez singled in Ichiro in the bottom of the 11th; it was Ichiro's third run of the game. Sean White was credited with the win, but David Aardsma was the bullpen hero for the M's. He relieved Miguel Batista in the 10th with the bases loaded and no outs and stranded all three runners.

The Dodgers racked up Felix Hernandez for three runs in the fourth inning of Game Five, with A.J. Pollock hitting a two-homer. That all really all Kershaw needed, but the Dodgers put up five runs off three Mariners relievers in the seventh, highlighted by a pinch-hit grand slam by David Freese.

Back in L.A. for Game Six, Kenta Maeda shut out Seattle for six innings, after which Caleb Ferguson and Pedro Baez threw one scoreless inning apiece before Kenley Jansen allowed a run in the ninth. Cory Bellinger and Muncy hit back-to-back homers in the fourth off Doug Fister to give the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. Seattle got the tying run into scoring position against Jansen, but the Dodger closer escaped to seal the series for the Dodgers

Player availablity: The Dodgers have no injuries or overworked relievers for the third round

Projected rotation: Buehler-Ryu-Kershaw-Hill-(Buehler)-(Ryu)-(Kershaw). Maeda will deactivated and Hill inserted into the Game Four slot.
