Game Three: Indians 9, Twins 4: Jim Kaat was staked to a 3-1 lead but failed to get an out in the fifth inning. George Burns totaled three RBIs for the Tribe and Sherry Smith went the distance despite allowing homers to Rick Renick and Bob Allison.
