Hughie Jennings drove in three runs with a triple and a double, and Jim O'Rourke drove in the other two as Browerville tightened its grip on first place. Old Hoss Radbourn allowed one earned run in his six hitter. Clarissa left a man in scoring position in each of the first four innings.
Agnews 8, Fishermen 7 (10 innings)
Mike Caldwell worked three scoreless innings of relief and Cesar Cedeno -- who homered in the first inning -- singled home the winning run in the bottom of the 10th. One key to the game was a pair of errors by the Fishermen in the third inning, when the Agnews scored three times. The Fishermen scored six runs in the fifth to knock Gaylord Perry out of the game, after which John Hiller and Caldwell shut them down.
