Browerville plated three runs in the first inning and Long Prairie never caught up. Sam Thompson and Jimmy Collins each drove in two runs for the Novelists, and Tim Keefe struck out 10 Agnews in his nine-hit complete game.
Crimsons 15, Fishermen 8
Bertha's sloppy fielding -- including three errors in a seven-run Clarissa fourth inning -- booted this game to the Crimsons. Eight of Clarissa's runs were unearned. Pud Galvin staggered through 7.2 innings for the win, with Candy Cummings mopping up. Buck Ewing and George Davis each had three RBIs for the winners.
