Bertha scored four runs in the first inning and Long Prairie couldn't get any closer than three runs the rest of the way. Smokey Joe Williams went the distance, allowing three runs on five hits, for the win. Four of the Agnews hits went for extra bases, including homers by Thurman Munson and Willie Stargell. Cristobel Torriente drove in three runs.
