Jimmy Collins squeezed home the final run of a five-run outburst in the top of the ninth as Browerville won its fourth straight and pulled into a tie for first place. John Clarkson threw three scoreless innings of relief for the win. Bertha scored four runs in the second and two more in the third, all off Tim Keefe who wound up allowing seven runs in six innings before giving way to Clarkson. Tom Williams held the Novelists scoreless until the sixth. and was pulled in the eighth having allowed three runs.
