Bill Drake allowed five hits and six walks but didn't allow a run in the complete game win. The Loons peppered Bullet Rogan and Andy Cooper for 18 hits. Chino Smith hit a three-run homer in the top of the ninth to cap the scoring. Four Loons had three hits apiece.

Walleyes 4, Tourists 2
A three-run second inning gave Dick Redding sufficient support. He allowed two runs in 8.1 innings on six hits and two walks while striking out six. John Beckwith homered, and Dewey Creacy and Sammy T. Hughes each had RBI triples off loser Bill Foster.
