Conifers 19, Loons 10
Tubby Scales homered twice in the first inning as the Conifers battered William Bell for 10 runs. Scales went 5-for-6 with five runs, four RBIs, a double and a walk. Seven Conifers scored more than one run. Smokey Joe Williams was pulled after one inning, and Bill Byrd, who allowed two runs in 4.6 innings to finish the game, was credited with the win.

Herons 3, Tourists 2
Rap Dixon and Louis Santop homered and Max Manning allowed one earned run on six hits in 8.1 innings. Hilton Smith relieved after a one-out double by Martin Dihigo in the ninth to strike out Dobie Moore and Ray Dandrige to earn the save. Dizzy Dismukes went the distance in his first start, allowing seven hits.
