The Tourists scored three runs in the first but couldn't add on, and the Walleyes took the lead with a four-run fifth inning. Winner Dave Brown allowed nine hits in 8.1 innings but got four double play grounders. Slim Jones entered with the bases loaded in the ninth to fan Pete Hill and get Dobie Moore on a deep fly for the save. Art Pennington scored three times and drove in two for the Walleyes.

Loons 7, Herons 3
Sam Bankhead drove in four runs and William Bell threw three scoreless innings of relief as the Loons moved ahead of the Herons in the standings. Nip Winters allowed three runs on four hits in seven innings for the win.
