Brooklyn 4, NY Giants 1: Dazzy Vance went the distance, striking out seven and holding the Giants to four hits. He did walk five and hit another. Johnny Mitchell scored twice for the Robins, who totaled 10 hits off three Giants hurlers.

NY Yankees 7, Brooklyn 1: Bob Meusel's three-run homer off reliever Art Decatur capped a six-run top of the ninth for the Yankees, and Herb Pennock scattered nine hits for the complete game win. Brooklyn's sole run, scored in the first inning, came courtesy of two Yankees errors.
