Washington 7, NY Yankees 1: The Senators racked up six runs in the fourth inning off Bob Shawkey, with Joe Judge driving in three with a bases-loaded double. Walter Johnson went the distance, allowing a homer to Babe Ruth but allowing only three other hits while striking out five.

NY Yankees 5, Brooklyn 3: Babe Ruth, Bob Meusel and Wally Schang doubled, doubled and tripled in the eighth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Waite Hoyt went the distance for the win, allowing three earned runs on nine hits.
