Pete Hill went 5-for-6 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored as the Tourists lashed Bill Byrd and Rube Foster for 19 hits. Big Bill Foster staggered through 7.6 innings and was charged with eight earned runs and 13 hits but got credit for the win.

Tank Carr's two-run homer in the eighth broke a 1-1 tie and lifted the Loons to the win. Nip Winters retired all seven men he faced in relief to get credit for the victory. Starter Webster McDonald took a no-hitter into the fifth and allowed five in 6.6 innings.
