Ben Taylor hit a two-run homer off Double Duty Radcliffe and Leroy Matlock allowed two runs on seven hits over eight innings. Ray Dandridge went 4-for-4 for the losers with a triple and a run scored.

Walleyes 10, Loons 3
Cool Papa Bell scored three runs and drove in a pair, and he and Bill Monroe hit back-to-back homers in the second inning. Loons starter Bill Drake allowed five runs in two innings, and the Walleyes scored five more off Nip Winters, two of them unearned. The Walleyes clinched a tie for the pennant.
