Apollos 12, Fishermen 3
Hewitt hammered four homers and Sam McDowell recovered from walking the first three men he faced as the Apollos routed Bertha. Frank Fernandez, catching after Johnny Bench caught 16 innings on Day 5, homered in the third to start the scoring for the Apollos. Hewitt took the lead with a three-run fourth, aided by an error. Henry Aaron, back from injury, homered in the sixth, Roberto Clemente homered int the seventh and Sal Bando capped a five-run eighth with a homer. McDowell went 7.1 innings for the win and Grant Jackson got the final five outs for a save.

Crimsons 6, Novelists 4
Joe Kelley and Buck Ewing each hit two-run homers off John Clarkson and Pud Galvin held the Novelists to one run through the first eight innings. He needed help from Candy Cummings in the ninth, and Cummings needed a break from a ground ball that hit baserunner Ed Delahanty. Galvin was charged with three earned runs in 8.1 innings; he scattered 12 hits. Clarkson allowed 11 hits in eight innings.

Apollos: Jenkins is eligibile Day 8, Gibson Day 9, McDowell Day 10 with penalty, Day 11(off day) without.)  Gelnar and McGinn should sit Day 7 and Day 8. Projected starters: McLain on Day 7, Jenkins Day 8, Gibson Day 9, McDowell with penalty Day 10 unless Bosman has not pitched.

Agnews: Seaver is eligible to start on Day 7, Ryan Day 8, Perry Day 9. Projected starters: off Day 6, Blyleven Day 7, Seaver Day 8, Ryan Day 9.

Crimsons: Nichols eligible for Game 8, Galvin Game 9  Projected starters: off Game 7, Young Game 8, Nichols Game 9, Galvin Game 10
