Webster McDonald, in his first start since the opener, went the distance with a three-hitter and retired the last 10 men he faced. The Loons knocked John Donaldson around for five runs in 2.3 innings. Harry Salmon threw 5.6 innings of one-run relief for the losers.

Conifers 6, Tourists 3
Tubby Scales and Hurley McNair each scored a pair of runs to support Bullet Joe Rogan, who made it through eight innings despite allowing 14 hits. Scales hit a two-run homer off Dizzy Dismukes, and Charles Blackwell a solo shot off reliever Bill Holland.
