Dave Brown threw a three-hitter with eight strikeouts, and Cool Papa Bell and John Beckwith homered for the Walleyes. Bell's homer, a two-run shot, came in the third inning, and Beckwith hit a solo homer in the sixth.

Herons 6, Conifers 5
Red Parnell and Louis Santop each drove in two runs to support Jose Mendez. The Herons plated four runs in the first inning, two of them unearned, and the Conifers never caught up. Mendez allowed four runs on 10 hits in eight innings. Hilton Smith gave up a solo shot to Frog Redus in the ninth but got the save.
