Walleyes 5, Herons 3
Bill Monroes tripled in one run and scored another in a four-run fourth inning that carried Cannonball Redding to the win and tightened the Walleye's grip on first place. Redding went the distance, allowing nine hits and three walks while striking out six. Willard Brown homered in the sixth for the other Walleyes run.  John Donaldson went the distance for the loss, getting five double plays.
