Baltimore 11, Washington 10: The Elites scored nine runs in the third inning and hung on to remain undefeated. Washington knocked Andy Cooper out in the first inning. Bill Holland got the win for 2.2 scoreless innings. Cheney White (pinch-hitting for Holland) and Oscar Charleston each had a two-run single in the third, and John Beckwith drove in two more with a single and a sac fly in the big inning. The Senators scored four runs off in the ninth to make the score close.
NY Giants 6. NY Yankees 2: The Yankees stranded six men in scoring position through the first seven innings against Hugh McQuillan, and the Giants bunched five hits in their four-run fourth inning. Frankie Frisch tripled, singled, scored one run and drove in two for the winners. Rosy Ryan retired all four hitters he faced for the save.
