Day 11 recaps

Baltimore 6, Brooklyn 4: The Elites got seven straight hits in the eighth inning to overtake Brooklyn. Robins starter Bill Doak had to leave with an injury after three scoreless innings, and relievers Art Decature and Dutch Henry kept the shutout going for four more innings before the uprising. Bill Drake, who allowed two runs in two innings of relief, was credited with the win.

NY Yankees 2, NY Giants 1: All three runs came in the first inning. Waite Hoyt went the distance for the win, scattering seven hits. The Yankees totaled just seven hits off Virgil Barnes and Claude Jonnard, but three of them, plus a walk and a steal, came in the first inning and gave Hoyt enough runs.
