Washington 3, Brooklyn 2: Pinch-hitter Lance Richbourg doubled home Muddy Ruel in the top of the ninth to break a 2-2 tie. By Speece got the win after relieving Tom Zachary with the bases loaded and no outs in the eighth; he allowed the tying run to score but stranded the other runners.
Baltimore 7, NY Giants 6: The Elites scored five times in the first inning and hung on. Bullet Rogan allowed five runs, four earned, on 13 hits in seven innings. Center fielder Oscar Charleston threw out two Giants at the plate, and the Elites turned four double plays.
