Day 15 recaps

NY Yankees 4, Brooklyn 2: Herb Pennock allowed one earned run on five hits in his complete game win. The Yankees scored three runs off Burleigh Grimes in the first inning, and Joe Dugan added a homer in the fourth. Babe Ruth and Whitey Witt each stole a pair of bases.

Washington 4, Baltimore 3:  The Senators came from behind to hand the Elites their first loss of the season. Allen Russell and Fred Marberry combined for three scoreless innings of relief and Mule Shirley hammered a game-tying two-out pinch-hit double in the sixth inning.
