Washington 2, Brooklyn 0: Curly Ogden and Dazzy Vance matched zeros until the eighth inning, when the Senators took advantage of a Johnny Mitchell error to push the first run across. Washington added an insurance run in the ninth, pinch-hitting for Ogden in the process, and Fred Marberry finished off the combined three-hitter. Vance struck out 11 in his eight-hitter.
NY Yankees 14, NY Giants 7: The Yankees batted around twice and totaled 18 hits, eight for extra bases, to rout the Giants. Babe Ruth drove in five runs, and Whitey Whit and Joe Dugan each scored three times. Herb Pennock went eight innings for the win, allowing seven runs on 13 hits.
