Brooklyn 9, Washington 4: Tommy Griffith drove in three runs while Eddie Brown and Milt Stock each added a pair as the Robins overcame an early 3-0 deficit. Burleigh Grimes allowed two earned runs in his 12-hit complete game.

NY Yankees 5, Washington 3:  Babe Ruth broke up a scoreless game with a three-run homer in the sixth inning, and Bob Meusel hit a solo shot in the eighth to support Waite Hoyt. Joe Judge drove in a pair of runs for the Senators, who have lost three in row.
