Baltimore 5, NY Giants 4 (11 innings): Cristobal Torriente's first hit of the season drove in Home Run Johnson for the walk-off win. Loser Claude Jonnard had thrown four scoreless innings of relief to that point. Judy Johnson had a pair of RBIs for the Elites.

Washington 2, NY Yankees 0: Three pitchers combined for a seven-hit shutout. George Mogridge did most of the work, allowing five hits in six innings before leaving for a pinch-hitter. Paul Zahniser got four outs, and Fred Marberry got the final five outs, including a strikeout of Babe Ruth with two on. Ossie Bluege went 3-for-4 for the Senators.
