Washington 5, NY Giants 1: Walter Johnson struck out eight in his seven-hitter, allowing only one unearned run while driving one in and scoring another himself. Sam Rice had a two-run single for the Senators, and Bennie Tate went 4-for-4. Frankie Frisch stole two bases for the Giants

Washington 5, Brooklyn 4: Earl McNeely singled home Lance Richbourgh after the later's pinch-hit double leading off the bottom of the ninth to win it. Eddie Brown hit a three-run homer in the first off Paul Zahniser to give the Robins an early lead, but the Senators went ahead in the fifth when Bucky Harris, Sam Rice and Joe Judge all rapped extra-base hits. By Speece threw 1.6 hitless innings for the win.
