The Conifers got RBI singles from Tubby Scales and Mule Suttles in the seventh inning to win the pitchers duel. Smokey Joe Williams went eight scoreless for the win; he scattered five hits while walking one and striking out six and induced a pair of double play balls with men on third base to end innings.  Bell went the distance for the Loons, allowing six hits.

Walleyes 10, Herons 1
Dave Brown allowed one unearned run while Bill Monroe drove in four runs and scored three times for the Walleyes. Herons starter Jose Mendez lasted just two innings, allowing five runs on six hits. The Herons, who opened the season with an eight-game winning streak, have now lost four straight.
