Reliever Andy Cooper, entrusted with a 5-4 lead in the ninth, gave up two runs on three hits to take the loss for the Conifers. Alec Radcliff singled home Biz Mackey with two outs for the winner. Bill Drake went the distance for the Loons, giving up five runs on eight hits. Drake retired the final 10 hitters of the game for the Conifers.

Herons 9, Tourists 7
Bruce Petway hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th to keep the Herons' winning streak going. The light-hitting backstop made a winner of Hilton Smith, who faced the minimum of nine batters in three scoreless innings of relief. Buck Leonard had tied the game in the seventh with a grand slam off Sam Streeter, who allowed seven runs but only two earned.
