Comments: Neither Mendez nor Donaldson hit well enough to be a factor in the lineup, but Mendez is the only backup shortstop. Three of the four infielders -- Wells, Marcelle and Serrell -- play just the one position. Charleston is the best defensive center fielder on the roster, but only the catchers are coded to play first other than Charleston.
