Willie Wells and Oscar Charleston hit back-to-back homers in the top of the ninth to ruin a heroic relief effort by Bill Drake. Drake took over for an ineffective William Bell after the Herons scored five runs in the first inning and threw scoreless ball into the ninth. Turkey Stearnes and Chino Smith each hit two-run homers off winner Jose Mendez. Hilton Smith pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
Tourists 6, Conifers 4
Ray Brown allowed one earned run in his complete game win, scattering eight hits, walking one and striking out three. Dobie Moore had three hits, including a triple, scored twice and drove in a pair. Buck Leonard also had two RBIs.
