John Donaldson spun a six-hitter and Ghost Marcelle scored a pair of runs and drove in another. Oscar Charleston tripled, doubled and singled in five trips to the plate. Rap Dixon gunned down Cool Papa Bell trying to score on a short fly ball to end the eighth inning and preserve Donaldson's shutout.
