Day 5 recaps
Loons 5, Walleyes 4
Tank Carr led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk-off homer off Cannonball Redding. The Loons scored three runs in the first, getting triples from Biz Mackey and Turkey Stearnes. Verdell Mathis picked up the win with 1.3 scoreless innings of relief. Phil Cockrell allowed three earned runs while striking out eight in 7.6 innings for the no-decision. The Walleyes left nine men in scoring position.

Herons 7, Conifers 3
Louis Santop homered and drove in three runs to power the undefeated Herons past the winless Conifers. Tom Williams went 8.1 innings, with Hilton Smith getting the final two outs. Williams allowed two earned runs on nine hits

Herons: Mendez rests until Day 9. Williams rests until Day 10. Avoid Smith in Day 6.

Conifers: Rogan cannot pitch until Day 8. Matlock is eligible to pitch on Day 7. Byrd rests until Day 9.
