Baltimore 5, Washington 2: The Elites broke a 2-2 tie with a three-run rally in the eighth off Walter Johnson, with Biz Mackey hitting an RBI double and Judy Johnson following with a two-run single. Winner Dave Brown scattered eight hits in eight innings. .

Washington 3, NY Giants 1:  Joe Martina spun a three-hitter and didn't allow a hit after the third inning, and the Giants were charged with three errors and a wild pitch in Washington's two-run fifth inning. Loser Hugh McQuillan allowed three hits in seven innings.
