Baltimore 7, NY Yankees 1: Judy Johnson capped off a six-run rally with a sixth-inning grand slam off Herb Pennock, and Nip Winters retired 18 Yankee batters in a row en route to his third win. Pennock hit and injured two of the Elites in that sixth inning, in which Baltimore got RBI doubles from John Beckwith and Home Run Johnson.
NY Yankees 10, Brooklyn 2: The Yankees slammed Dazzy Vance for 15 hits and eight runs in eight innings of labor for the Robins ace. Joe Bush went the distance for the Yankees, scattering 10 hits. Ruth hit a three-run homer in the eighth, and Aaron Ward went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and one RBI.
