Baltimore 5, NY Giants 1: Tubby Scales and Alejandro Oms each homered, and Tom Williams and Dave Brown combined for a nine-hitter for the Elites. Scales had two singles to go with his four-bagger.

NY Giants 7, Washington 6 (10 innings): Travis Jackson's pinch-hit single in the bottom of the 10th plated Hank Gowdy with the winning run. Another regular, Irish Meusel, came off the bench in the 8th inning for a pinch-hit double that scored two runs and tied the game for the Giants. Gowdy belted a three-run double in the first inning, and Bill Terry homered, singled twice and walked.
