Baltimore 4, NY Yankees 2: Alejandro Oms led off with his fifth homer of the season and Dave Brown allowed two runs on four hits in eight innings. Ben Taylor drove in two runs and Oscar Charleston scored a pair. The Yankees got their runs on consecutive doubles by Babe Ruth. Bob Meusel and Wally Pipp in the seventh inning.
NY Giants 3, Washington 2:Jack Bentley went the distance, allowing one hit over the final seven innings, and drove in the winning run with a ninth-inning single off Walter Johnson. Bentley allowed four hits, three of them in the second, when the Senators scored their two runs. The Giants got two unearned runs in the fourth as Sam Rice and Ossie Bluege were charged with errors.
