Brooklyn 6, Washington 0: Zack Wheat hit a two-run homer in the first and Dazzy Vance allowed just four singles and five walks in his shutout win. Milt Stock drove in a pair of runs for Brooklyn, which moved above .500 for the first time all season.

NY Giants 4, NY Yankees 3 (10 innings): Travis Jackson and Ross Youngs homered for the Giants, but it was Jackson's 10th-inning single that put the Giants ahead to stay. Ernie Maun retired the one batter he faced in the ninth -- Joe Dugan with a man on third -- to get credit for the win.
